In my current role as a service desk engineer, I am required to both use and maintain computers daily. In the role, I continuously learn and train in the new technologies and software available to ensure my knowledge and skill set are up to date. I am at the forefront of cutting-edge releases and can utilise solutions to make my work far more efficient.
My first memory of using innovative IT software was when I was in high school. Tasked with creating a brand and producing merchandise, I used Adobe Creative Cloud to design the brands logo. I used this technology to create the logo and incorporate it into merchandise and create a logo.
Upon completion of this project, I immediately knew that I had a passion for the capabilities and progression of technology. From this moment onwards I knew I wanted to work in a Technology-based job.

The next generation of computer users is still in nursery school! Even at this young age, children are exposed daily to technologies such as iPads, mobile phones and all sorts of other electrical devices. The children of today are our future, so it is essential to recognise their technological educational needs and encourage technology as much as possible.
We must embrace technology; it is the future, and it leaps forwards at superspeed. Looking back to only 20 years ago, only a select few worked-on desktops and portability wasn’t an option. Now, almost every household and workplace have access to portable devices. Research shows that users as young as two years old are using technology every day. We must educate users on how to safely and adequately use computers to ensure they continue driving forwards with ideas which can ultimately change the world!
